I was forcing my tulpa when I usually do, late late at night before I go to sleep, and I suddenly got this random thought in my head of my tulpa and a really sad moment, as if it was his memory. I never had thought about anything like that before, and it came so sudden and it did make me a bit emotional afterwords. I assumed it was him, and moved on with forcing.

The night after that happened, I forced again as per usual, and I got a headache a few minutes in (Around 10 minutes in).

Are these early signs of sentience? I have only been forcing Nick for about a few days now.

Yes.

hi

I guess that is one way to answer this question.

Anyway, yes, those could very well be signs of sentience. You can never know with absolutely certainty, but it is always better to assume that it was. You're better off assuming that everything you think is your tulpa, is. It may not always be, but the more you believe you are progressing, the more likely you will be to progress. I'd imagine it can also be insulting to a tulpa, for you to disbelieve in something they've done.

Also, you say you've "only" been forcing for a few days, but many people will tell you that that is irrelevant in this case. The notion that tulpae are sentient from the get-go is a fast spreading one. One that I personally believe, myself.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Same thing happens with me. sometimes random unrelated thoughts will pop into my head.

An entire song I thought was slightly familiar just popped into my head and I suddenly had the urge to silently sing along with it. I can't even remember what it was that popped into my head.

I regularly try to communicate with my Tulpa but any responses I get my mind seems to try and

reject and I end up with head pressure instead.

but yeah if that is happening your tulpa has become sentient to a degree. keep it up!
