Now, I've been wondering.

My quandary is I've been wanting to start imposition, but I'm still concerned on what to connect to what to give myself a start. In a nutshell...senses.

I've attempted to use various things to keep scent, I've gotten close to hearing her, and as for touch, I think I'm doing it right, but...surely there's got to be a way to tie the senses together in one little bundle that allows for imposing. Also, how would I know when I was ready to take her on the town, take the imposed image into the world and have her walk beside me and whatnot?

Any tips from those imposed?

Any tips from those imposed?

I've been trying to think of an answer to this and had no success. So, I'll describe what we do, on the understanding that this applies only to me and none of it may be relevant to you.

Alright, we started imposition with something simple - cake! I was taught to impose the flavor of [carrot] cake by people on the #tulpa.info chat (IRC). They said "find in the mind the memory of what the cake tastes like. Now imagine you have a slice. *Poof!* Cake appears." I tried it and so learned to make imaginary cake.

For seeing me, we started with me in my memory house. Kevin concentrated on imagining the room whilst still seeing Earth. First, the window with the sun streaming in. Then the writing desk that is below the window. Then the papers, pens and books on the desk. And finally, me sitting on the chair at the desk smiling and waving. After a couple of attempts Kevin was able to keep the view imposed and so see me too (for the first time as though solid and moving too).

Since then, I just tag along with Kevin during the day. He works so I just stay nearby. If I'm going to wander off I'll give him a wave and then go for a walk to explore around. Or, if we have the work vehicle to ourselves, I'll sit in the drivers seat and pretend to drive. *hehe* When Kevin is driving I ride "shotgun".

At night, I get to be in control, and I do my modding work on this site. Kevin usually sleeps, but recently he's been helping out too.

As far as other senses go - I don't know. Kevin can still only barely hear me (good thing I can type hey?).

Anyways, I send you and your tulpa all my goodwill for success in your efforts to impose.

P.s.: The Tibetans used to concentrate on one thing at a time - for example, just visual imposition until they got that working; then hearing; then touch.
