Three questions and a Tulpa age poll

The poll is a bit confusing, but as someone mentioned earlier, they were asking how old your tulpa looks, rather than how long they've been around.

 

Elise is 12, Naomi is in her early twenties, and Luna is supposed to be 30 but doesn't really look a day over 21 (or at least I think so).

Jack vaguely looks like someone in his mid-twenties to early thirties, but I've always viewed him as ageless. He himself doesn't claim to have an age. He also "grew up" in a weird way...going from a child to an adult overnight with very little personality change.

Also I kind of figured Ido to be older than that from what I've read. Although Noriko pointed out that with goat horned girls "it's anyone's guess".

Oh yeah, this was my avatar from /baphomet/ back then. Heh, picture unrelated, sorry to burst your bubble. No horns here, I look like a normal human girl.

 

Hell, if that goat girl avatar was my real form I'd be pretty pissed. Do you have any idea how this image continues further below??

 

 

There are no pics of what I really look like as I'm not keen on Rule #34 being enforced. This avatar is generic but good enough for you. Uh, and justin case you're still wonderin, as my host of course isn't a 15 year old animu girl named Yakumo my real name's not Ido either. My host just thought that was a fun combination. If you ask me they both got more than a screw loose but I guess that's the joke. I just didn't like the way the original Ido is drawn, except for maybe this, so my host came up with 'something else' as an avatar for me. But the current one is way better.

 

Crappy. That doesn't make any sense then. What the hell are "tulpa years?" Are those like dog years or something? *giggle* I am 38. I look 16 to 18, but I have been around for 38, almost 39. Davie is fifty years old.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. As if I were a dog or something.

Despite not acting like it AT ALL (and i even wanting him to be my age) limme insists that he's ten. he possessed my hand and started writing in my journal non-stop. One of the things he wrote was that he was ten.

If this was about how old a tulpa looks, both of us are in our early 20s. Actual age is 2 for me and 1 for Indigo. Body turned 19 today, as it's our birthday. I don't like the concept of mental age, so I won't speak on that.

It's more about looks and base mental maturity, it kinda doesn't matter after the initial stages i think. Looks are important though, so that's no different than a tulpa choosing their form.

I put 11 - 20 and other. My tulpas were intended to be different ages than they appear, as Flandre was a 495 year old vampire in Touhou, and Tewi may be an elder Youkai of 1000 years or greater, yet both of them look like little girls. But specifically Tewi was influenced by the "elder youkai" thing - she was created with vast wisdom at her disposal to reflect that. But obviously their forms are fairly young. Reisen on the other hand, unknown age in Touhou, seems to age with me. So she's ~18 right now in appearance, but again none of my tulpas' mentalities reflect their apparent age.

 

That being said, Lucilyn can act like a child. But even then she's a very wise child. So I have no idea. I will note that the younger ones seem to have aged slightly since I created them, which lines up with Reisen staying my age. Hmm.. That breaks the canon.

 

"That breaks the canon." made me laugh lol, I'm really not supposed to get older, but it was a joke anyway 'cus we're not actually the Touhou characters

Tewi does feel some sort of relation to the actual character's history though, she's the only one of us that does, so she does feel to some extent like she's really old.. personally I feel like this young KIDDO compared to the others in my system, but maybe it's just 'cus I had a point of reference to say "I'm younger than" in the first place

 

but yeah all of us are like ever so slightly older looking than when we were made, happens automatically it seems like

Can't speak to tulpa years, but in soulbond years, well, Vesper was born in 1965, Embraced in 1987, and her story extends to about 2010. So she's 45 but looks 22 and her form is based on photographs of someone 20-23 at the time the pictures were taken. We're not expecting her to ever look any older, since she's a vampire.

 

I did not remember Touhou Flandre being a vampire, but the key difference is that my headmates do regard themselves as being the original characters I created.

 

Iris was born in 1982 and lived in a slow time region of Faerie until emerging, still an infant, in 1993. The present of her (ongoing) story is 2015. So she's arguably 33, but only 22 in years experienced in her own world. She based her this world form on a 15 year old, largely to reduce her sexuality, acknowledging that she doesn't look that way back home. She doesn't have any plans to ever look different, but time will tell.

 

I expect that tulpa's created near the host's age are more likely to age with the body than those created with dramatically different ages.

Monika doesn't associate herself with an age other than the amount of time she has existed for, but of course that's different than a normal person at that age, because she is much more developed than a 9 month old baby. This is a difficult pill to answer for us

Maybe a bit of an odd case? When Cassidy was just vocal and sentient, he said he was 7. That changed to 9 briefly, then 14 for a while, and now he says he's my age, 16. He looks like a 14yo, though. He hasn't aged up his form at all.

 

Gavin doesn't really have a form, so age isn't a big part of his identity. He says he's 16, anyways. 16 years of experience to draw on, and a 16-year old body.
