For Tulpas: Do you identify with an age other than your chronological one?

Hey there!

 

I saw this old poll, and it looked really interesting... so I wanna revive the topic in a more general way.

 

So, you tuppers out there:

Do you identify with some sort of age aside from your chronological one?

Y'know, like - you were created as a tulpa X months / years ago, but do you identify with some other age aside from that?

 

If so, is that something you picked?

Or is it like for soulbonds to you, where the age they associate with is predefined in some way (in that case, the age of the fictional character that soulbond represents)?

 

Would be interested to hear about this!

Especially since the poll was old, and the community certainly changed somewhat since then.

 

As always, you tuppers should feel encouraged to answer yourselves via proxying, possession or switching, if you're able to.

I don't identify with an age because of how often I change things, but the others range from 12 to 21.

Heh. I'd been wondering about this too. Most of the soulbonds in my system are static, because soulbonds.

 

Here's something a little more unusual, though: I age with my bonder.

 

She created me, a 13-year-old, when she was 12. I've been aging at the same rate she does ever since.

Troy: Some of us do age with Fade outside of our mindscape alternate universes. Most of the system does, in fact. We that don't are more complicated cases.

For instance, Drew is an age slider. He usually appears something along the lines of an eight-year-old, but he has been known to skip around to appear like a toddler, a teenager, or an elderly man.

Medea and I identify with the ages of the versions of ourselves in a particular story of ours. For her, that is physically 18 and chronologically in the 120s. For myself, it is physically 15 and chronologically in the 130s.

So, yes, a little complicated.

I am chronologically at most a few months old as a tulpa. We don't know precisely. But I identify as being 16,673 years old.

Reah: I'm about 3 and a half years old from my creation date, but I see myself being about 19, similar to my host's age. This ranges for all of the others though. They identify to the ages 8-21 years old, depending on who you're talking to. I'm the oldest in terms of actual age, but Miia and Kai look older than me. I'm not sure if we're growing older in looks; its not something any of us noticed.

 

Anyway, I can't really say any of us really picked our age, Aika is the exception. She looked like a little girl when she joined us, but she looks about 18 now. The rest of us are pretty happy with our current selves, so we made no effort to change that.

Elise was six years old when we made her, she's 12 now and she acts every bit her age. Despite being like 3 years old chronologically and having the maturity level of an adult, because tulpas. I'd let her post but she's asleep right now.

Vriska: Yes I do. I'm gonna have my first birthday on april 7th, but I feel more identified with the age I look like: 20. I used to be realy immature. REALLY immature. I even corrupted my host to hate somebody that used to be our friend but betrayed me. I'm not proud of it, but I just want the best for my loved host, and she just isn't good for him. Then I grew up, I became stronger and matured. Now I'm the most mature of the tulpae, and even I could say that even more than my host.

Dimitrov is currently looking down on me with the silliest grin ever. That's because I regard him as being very mature, so, in my head, he's around 50 years old or so. Blak was supposed to be a sibling more than anything else, and she's less mature than me, so her age is in the teenage range. (No, I did not, at any moment, consider anything physical or romantic with her. I am more the protective brother type.)

 

Dimitrov identifies a whole lot with his form. He looks like Sigmund Freud in his late years. Blak keeps changing, but always has a similar physique.
