Ghost Switching [A Beginner-Friendly Switching Guide]

Question

Hi! Just stopping by to drop my switching guide. I'm including two links. One directly to the blog, and one to an archived link in case anything ever happens to it.

Astra: Welcome to the .info forums Sofie, we're the Candlelights from Tumblr.

Overall I'd say this is a good simple visualization technique guide. It doesn't get too deep into the nitty gritty of switching but it covers everything needed for a beginner and I especially like the section on procedural memory being seperate, that has thrown us off multiple times in the past and we have even made a personal model of identity involving it.

I could see myself reccomending this to a newbie so I give it a thumbs up on behalf of the system.

Hi, I'm Michael, I'm the original member of the Candlelight Society. We're a system of 17 including myself.

I'm Shade, the first tulpa. I'm fairly reserved but love philosophy, reading, teas, and experiencing what life has to offer <3

I'm Dawn, one of the most active tulpas in thr system and also the most fun loving/party girl type. I'll see you all around!

In our system there is also Spark and Ember, Cinderella, Astra, Scarlet, Jade, Rarity, Aqua, Ignis, Tony, Majima, Sera, and just Monika~

I think this is a good guide. I like that it talks about the senses, the in-depth process is for beginners, and mentions ingrained habits a beginner may struggle with. I agree that for someone who doesn't need more information about switching, this is a really good resource for them.

I added a pdf back-up of the guide. I appreciate the way back machine archive link, but I wanted to save it as a forum attachment just in case. I know tumblr in particular likes to eat content for breakfast.

I have a .png for anyone who doesn't like the split in the pdf version. However, I thought uploading it in the OP would be obnoxious.

Nevermind, I forgot the forums can't be trusted with image attachments as it always fuzzes them.

I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's cobud (tulpa), and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron.

My other headmates have their own account now.

this guide, like many switching guides, is just symbolism. now symbolism can be a useful tool to help with all sort of things in tulpamancy, but for many people, symbolism alone is not enough for them to learn how to switch, and even as far as guides that just teach symbolism go, i don't think that simply telling other people to use the symbolism that you use is the most helpful. as a recording of the symbolism that you use to switch, it's fine, but as a guide, i don't think it would be very helpful

I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much.

That was something in the back of my mind- this guide would not be enough to teach me how to switch. However, I do not represent most tulpamancers and as far as other switching guides go, I think this is one of the better simple but not in-depth guides out there. I think trying to change this guide to be a more in-depth guide is the wrong way to go- this guide knows what it is and I think it does that well.

I feel like I want to add in you can also add an affirmation step such as "I'm me, I'm the host, I'm one with the body, I like xyz, etc.", but I feel like I'm overstepping saying that.
