Thore August 24, 2012 August 24, 2012 Do you want to live life, have fun, and engage in sex with any sentient being of your imagination's choice? Well, there you have it. If you evade bans, we will permaban you!
Rayfloyd August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 No I'm not interested in sex with my own mind nty. But yeah I guess I can see where you guys getting at, although I have some difficulties thinking of a tulpa as a friend rather than yourself? I mean I understand the principle but it is fundamently another part of you. Sometimes I think this is a master group troll but everything leads me to think everyone is dead serious. Ever since I heard about tulpae (yesterday) every time I didn't have to think about something, the first thought that came to me was creating a tulpa and what it implies. I'm still giving it some thought. I really like the concept of having access to your subconscious through the medium of someone you can always count on since it's part of you.
Purlox August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 @Rayfloyd: Some of us theorize that tulpae are another mind in your body (like you), instead of thinking a tulpa is a part of you. There are other humans that have multiple minds in their body and our experiment with tulpa's memory suggests tulpae have their own memory rather than using the memory of a host, so it's not unreasonable to think they are another mind. Also there are tons of reasons for making a tulpa, I think the thread Pleeb linked you to is pretty good in that aspect. (I'm not sure if it was said in that thread, but I'll say it anyway:) One of the biggest advantages of having a tulpa for me is being able to get another opinion from another point of view pretty easily and having someone who truly understands you unlike most people that like to call themselves friends without understanding you at all.
QB2 August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 Rayfloyd: Imagine you went through time, space and dimensions to pick up a few versions of yourself. Among them are a ten year old you who's in the process of growing up in a moneyed household on futuristic mars with his own pet giraffe, and an eighty-four year old you who fought through hardship all his life as a potato farmer. They've got the exact same brain. But it's just impossible to consider them the same person. Because they aren't. They are completely different unrelated people who never experienced any of the same things and don't know the secrets of the other... entirely different beings, and they should be treated as such. We are defined by our personalities, and our mind is just a personality storage unit that can hold all sorts of completely unrelated things. While they share your brain, the unique personality and experiences of a tulpa very officially make them a different person. And on the topic of tulpa sex, that ties into it too. They're just some random person. They usually want a lot of the things physical people want, like relationships and sex. Why wouldn't they? Sharing your brain gives them intimate knowledge of you, and you're the only one they can touch, so obviously the person they want to experience these things with is you. The same way they experience everything with you. Not always, of course. Don't worry, it's not insanely likely or anything. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Kiahdaj August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 I really enjoyed reading both of the above comments. It's nice to hear the way people explain things from their point of view. And I agree completely with what was said :) "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Dorf August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 Wanna hear my opinion? A tupper is just a subconsicous hallucinative schism so illusionary that it can hold its own seemingly rogue opinions and memories. Its ability to perform mind tricks otherwise only available to us through intricate action in the subconscious really adds up to the magick bar-o-meter. If you evade bans, we will permaban you!

bearycool January 16, 2013 January 16, 2013 What was your reason for creating a tulpa in the first place? Did you create one in hopes for a friend of sorts, or did you just create one out of sheer curiosity? Why? Old thread here: http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Why-did-you-decide-to-create-a-tulpa?highlight=youfuckingidiot Stan (my tulpa): "sometimes, I do lewd things when my host bends over :3"
QB2 January 16, 2013 January 16, 2013 Because the option was there. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
bearycool January 16, 2013 January 16, 2013 And the poll is up! Edit: fuck me, I just had to spell "curious" wrong... :l Stan (my tulpa): "sometimes, I do lewd things when my host bends over :3"
