How real can imposition get?

I once "hid" Rainbow Dash in my room while I went out, to simulate her being corporeal/existing outside my mind. I think that could have helped with her developing sentience (or maybe imposition).

How real it can ultimately become depends on your ability to dissociate from reality in the right amounts. If you believed hard enough that you cannot "punch through" your tulpa, your mind would probably make you do it in a vivid daydream, and the experience would feel as real as anything.
