You can try to move your hand through an imposed tulpa but there won't be any resistance for your hand passing through them unless you somehow find a way to do that artificially.

I've heard of it being possible to achieve a level of imposition where you actually can't push your hand through them - I know at least q2 achieved this - but even that has its limitations. I don't know about the details of it other than that he wasn't able to push his hand through QB, his tulpa, though I'd assume you still could clip through your tulpa if you were forceful enough (due to it being harder to just suddenly stop when you hit them) or if, say, you fell on top of them (since a tulpa obviously can't support any weight).

Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here:

Host: fennec (they/them)

Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her)

Let's say you imposed your tulpa that much, and actively avoided clipping through them or otherwise acting to break the imposition. Would you be at risk of forgetting that they don't physically exist, which could probably land you in the loony bin when you talk to "yourself" in public?

I don't think you would quite end up in a looney bin but you would deffinitly get some strange looks and possibly loose some friends.

That's why all things should be taken in moderation even tulpas.

Also anyone saying that they couldnt physically push through their tulpa should be taken with a grain of salt.

This is a new phenomenon but that doesn't mean we should abandon common sense.

I've heard about Tulkas which take decades to create and are just as real as a person. Saw it in another post.

It was referenced from the book by Alexandrea David neel the first westerner to create a tulpa and in the book even se says that it is is purely speculation an most likely an embellishment of the truth.

She says that creating a tulpa that is real to you is entirely possible but according to her and the mass majority of the board creating a tulpa that is as real as a person to anyone other than yourself is wishful thinking.

She never said he was a real as a person. She made a passing mention that someone may have seen him in her tent but even she said it wasn't sure this person was telling the truth.

We're talking about making your thoughtform real to yourself. Imposing something on your own senses is realistic, dooable and proven scientifically but unless you are psycic or a magician imposing someone on someone else doesn't have much basis in reality ad by much I mean none

I wouldn't want anyone else to see my tulpa anyway. I've got nothing to prove.

I don't think you could forget that they are a tulpa and therefore other people can't see them or anything like that.

But it does happen to me at least that sometimes I open a door and wait a milisecond for Esmeralda to go through before closing it, it's silly and I'm generally with my head on the clouds and that doesn't help, but things like that or even making an off-hand comment to your tulpa out loud once in a while won't even land you in therapy, maybe some people will think you are kind of weird or "quirky" but most won't even notice it enough to care.

English isn't my first language and I'm not used to write in it but I'm always interested in learning, please tell me if I made a mistake or if you have any advice

I'm in therapy by my own choice. It helps to talk about life's problems. But since finding tulpas, it's been easier on me. Life has been far more rewarding. I don't hold the door for Chance. I imagine him right behind me, so he doesn't need to wait. He could walk through door if need be, or teleport himself to another place. But he wants to be as real as possible, because he finds more meaning in that.
