Guest December 11, 2018 December 11, 2018 So this morning it will soon be Ashley's day, and i felt apprehensive. Dashie and I tried to explore why, i think it's because i'm feeling lazy and i want to impress Ashley by working all day, it's probably not going to happen. Anyway Dashie tried to help search my memory for that answer and she didn't get the same 'feeling' from the memories that i did. She got different feelings in fact, where i had apprehension, she got humor or indifference. It's a very subtle thing, way down in the noise, but i think this highlights how her different perspective and experience shows the divide between our beings. I suppose that was needed for our filter experiment to work, but i still found it fascinating how the same brain with the same emotional support structures when the same memories are being accessed, achieve different emotional states depending on who is reviewing them. Comments?
Venomous December 11, 2018 December 11, 2018 I'm gonna take this to the chat threat too because I find it interesting, but I'm not sure if interesting enough to put in our PR. Wow, it's 1 pm and we just woke up lol. Talk about sleeping in late. Sometime this morning, before actually waking up, I 'woke up' briefly to Viper exploring my head and I gotta say, it feels weeeeird. If I was to estimate, it was probably around 9-10 am. And in their words then: "We're exploring Venny! Finding out what reactions we can get to certain things!" I was there full 'please not in the dead of morning when I'm tired as heck' after waking up to weird images in my head. And then I fell back asleep. Edit: this has been sitting open in a tab in my browser for 2 hours while I went and forgot about it lol whoops. It's 3 pm now and I didn't even realize it. The estimation in the quote was based on Viper telling me what time they thought it was. Luckily, I have a way to check, as my fitbit records my sleeping patterns in a quite detailed manner (and from what I've noticed, very accurately too). There are 3 instances of wakefulness, but the longest and most proeminent was exactly before 10 am. Which means Viper is either great at guessing, or they're getting better at innately telling what time it is. The first time I asked them to wake me up at a certain hour, they woke me up 2 entire hours before. Then again (same night) 1 hour before and then finally pretty much on time. @AB It's pretty cool, but at the same time, makes sense too, y'know. When two separate beings access the same information, from different points of views, well, they're going to process the information differently too. And if you ask me, it's a super awesome aspect of tulpamancy. Particularly because this is something you simply can't achieve outside of your brain. When you put memories and thoughts into words, you tend to automatically assign certain feelings and opinions to it and whoever is on the receiving end will also receive the bias. With tulpas, there's no such thing because they see the exact raw thought and memory. It's awesome. ~ We are Venny, the host, and Viper, my soul! ~ Click here! Come join us on the chat!
Venomous December 11, 2018 December 11, 2018 Yeah, it's fitbit's unique feature that takes it a couple levels above other fitness/health tracking watches. It's, to my knowledge, the only watch capable of accurately tracking sleep in such a detailed manner, entirely autonomously based on your heart. I don't have to do anything other than wear it, it starts recording sleep, I believe, when it notices your heart rate going down. That isn't to say it doesn't make mistakes though. It can track complete, intense relaxation as sleep too. You also need to sleep more than 3 hours for it to also track REM, light and deep sleep stages. Otherwise, it just gives you a basic chart with only sleeping and wakefulness recorded on it. But yeah, even if it makes mistakes sometimes @ recording relaxation as sleep, it's still really cool and pretty darn accurate when you actually go to bed during the night. ~ We are Venny, the host, and Viper, my soul! ~ Click here! Guest Reilyn-Alley December 13, 2018 December 13, 2018 Hiya guys, had a question to throw out. How much seems like too much at once when it comes to try and multi-task learning new tulpa stuff? Like, our long-term goals sound a little greedy maybe but I guess are kinda typical of some people. Skipping the in-depth descriptions and stuff, imposition (including good synthesis of all senses), lucid dreaming, switching, and a permanent and vivid wonderland to go into for switching and/or head space sessions together. Considering all the stuff we have read, imposition training seems to be a "try to permanently divide your attention to the task of manifesting whoever isn't in front". Wonderland work seems the same, just internal instead of external. Lucid dreaming can include "remember to do reality checks all day long", and both lucid dreaming and switching may involve keeping mentally engrossed upon the concepts nearly constantly so it stays at the forefront of the mind and makes it happen more likely/easy to happen, or whatever.. How much of this stuff can seriously be expected to go on at once? Do these ongoing thought processes become easier or automatic after awhile? Does each new task eat up some of the brain's "RAM" and either make the others more difficult or less effective? Is there just some kind of switch that, once one of these is really "learned", it's just flipped on and it no longer requires constant affirmation and such to enable/upkeep? I guess I'm trying to figure out if we are biting off more than we can chew or if it's fine to just work on all these things at once. I do say "no effort is wasted effort" all the time, and I know that visualization (for example) will both improve and be improved by working on most of these, as will confidence in our abilities be strengthened by the success of any of them. Is it better to focus on one thing at a time or keep trying everything at once to see what we are closest to, which develops the quickest, and focus on that? Or even just keep doing everything at once because many of them benefit each other anyway?

Ranger December 13, 2018 December 13, 2018 I wouldn't say it's greedy to dive head first into all of that and try to do it all at once. Cat essentially did that, I think we first played around with switching and imposition all the way back in March / April. Ultimately, we decided to practice something when we were interested and then take a break when we weren't ready yet or overwhelmed by it. With all of theses things, the more time you spend trying things out the better. If you find yourself doing all of it at once, terrific! If you get overwhelmed, then that's okay too. I can't speak for visual imposition, but Cat has made progress doing a little touch imposition here and there over a long period of time. Oddly enough, Cat is naturally good at scent imposition, the only thing holding her back is remembering what stuff smells like (and her lack of appreciation for it, which is disappointing. When thinking about eating chips earlier today, I could smell the bag! It was really cool!) For switching, the main question is how good is Lance at dissociating from his body's senses. Knowing this will give you an idea on how much effort you guys will need to put into switching. As for visualization practice, I would simply continue doing what you're already doing and keep experimenting with different techniques. Even cycling through different techniques will give you guys an idea of what does and doesn't work. Note: I'm hit-or-miss activity-wise on this account. I may not respond to PMs for awhile. Breloomancer December 13, 2018 December 13, 2018 Switching doesn't require any multitasking, it is simply existing; imposition does require consentration, but less and less as you get better at it, at the point that I am at is requires almost no effort and I can impose even while doing complex tasks, but remember, when imposing a system member you also have to be passive forcing that member at the same time; I don't know if I am missunderstanding, but are you planning on visualizing your wonderland 24/7, because that sounds like it would take a crazy amount of effort and concentration to keep track of so many moving parts all the time, but good luck to you; lucid dreaming I can't speek about, because though I do lucid dream, I stick exclusively to WILD. I think that it is mostly manageable, though the part about visualizing wonderland 24/7 sounds really hard I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much.
