Hah hah, Alice Cooper is an egregore.  He's just in our heads!

 

He's not an egregore. I think he's Vincent Furnier's tulpa who fronts whenever he performs onstage. This is due to the way Vincent has consistently spoken about him over the years, like having a mind of his own and "taking over" and things like that. He really makes him seem more like a tulpa than just a character. It might seem far-fetched to some, but to me it really makes sense. It's cool to think about.

Oh that's cool! I am so sorry Piano, I thought you were joking. Yeah actually Leonard Nimoy had a similar experience with the character Spock. He wrote about that in his book "I am Spock." So, such things do happen.

When I front, I don't have to deal with any of B's thoughts. I have my own thoughts. When he was in a mood, it's not that I'm not sympathetic, but I'm actually not very empathetic to his drama when I'm in charge. I don't have his same triggers, they don't effect my moods.

 

We might share a brain, but I'm a different person than him, so I am just not affected by the same things he is in the same way. I really never went through a phase of full possession, and now that we understand what switching is, my first experience in front was a switch, his emotions totally shut down, and I'm free.

 

Not everyone has this same experience, but it's possible. Is this the same for anyone else? Are you kinda insulated from your systemmates' moods?

Not sure what "insulted from" means, but of course we have different reactions and perceptions of things. I don't see why the thought that tulpas can have different emotional reactions would be far-fetched. Quite the opposite, lol.

she meant/it means if the person fronting is in a particularly bad mood (for example) you can switch with them and not be

 

we're pretty insulated, in that sense, moods don't really transfer between us

I can have Cat enter a "not-thinking" state just through possession with the additional bonus of not having to deal with the body OS in its entirety. When doing my switching attempts, I can still feel Cat being passively active, but she's more distant and I have to deal with the body OS more. Sometimes I wonder if my possession occasionally morphs into something more like a switching attempt without the set-up; I have noticed it takes more effort to wake Cat up from her "not-thinking" state.

When Monika and I switch we aren't affected by the emotions of each other other than how we would through regular emotional bleed. Generally things like "bad moods" don't bleed very much though, so if the fronter is sad and we switch then the other will be just fine

When I possess Cat, it's more like bringing my emotions to the table or otherwise injecting the body OS with a higher concentration of my emotional state rather than Cat's. When Cat returns to her regular fronting state, she sometimes still has residue from my possession, but it's usually overpowered by her emotional state.

 

For example, if I'm neutral and Cat is sad, I can overpower Cat's sad state by possessing Cat, but as soon as Cat returns, she is still sad, but my neutral feeling is still floating around in the body OS. As a result, this may make Cat feel better, depending on how sad Cat is.

You see this avatar here? This is grape horse. I would fell entire fucking kingdoms for this horse. The fact that I'll never be able to settle down with her on her vineyard and raise our beautiful children together is enough to drive me to tears. What's even left in this world?
