tulpa001 September 25, 2016 September 25, 2016 Most of those bugs don't affect me. One of the bugs windows decided to [bleep] me over with is one where every time my desktop image updates, my browser's windows cycle who's on top. The other way windows decided to [bleep] me over is I had disabled the lock screen. But they disabled that instruction. Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide.

Lucilyn September 25, 2016 September 25, 2016 y'know google owns youtube and the whole "Youtube Heroes" thing going on right power corrupts, aka when something gets too big it gets stupid, so we'll probably never have a ruler of the earth that does things right Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! jean-luc September 25, 2016 September 25, 2016 http://news.softpedia.com/news/microsoft-under-fire-for-buggy-windows-10-upgrade-508531.shtml "but Microsoft has always denied them, explaining that only anonymous data was submitted to its servers in order to improve performance and analyze crash logs." I'm sure the data is submitted over TOR (to prevent them knowing your IP) and that individual pieces of the data are sent over different circuits at random times to minimize correlation attacks /s If you've ever considered upgrading to a linux distrobution, NOW IS THE TIME. Plenty of games are released for linux, you can dual-boot if you want (have the ability to switch which OS you're using, but requires a reboot to do so). This is like, strike 5,476 for microshit, well past strike three. When you're using an open operating system than even if you don't understand anything that's going on, other people can still help you. But in cases like this, you're at the mercy of microshit, like Lucilyn said. Stats is back: https://stats.jean-luc.org/ My visits to tulpa.info are chaotic. Lucilyn September 25, 2016 September 25, 2016 and I mean really at the mercy of. I can't even watch videos in fullscreen, at all, anywhere nope. I'm watching JoJo but I can't fullscreen so I'm stuck with a 480p size player. And I could download the episodes, but my computer can't even display video in MP4 files anymore. Really! Just sound, fullscreen or not! and the taskbar freezes every once in a while I literally can't do anything but wait for them to fix this, and how likely is that to happen any time soon? we're really gonna have to use our laptop to do a lot of stuff if they don't do so and Osu still works even in fullscreen, so that's annoying Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! Solune September 25, 2016 September 25, 2016 y'know google owns youtube... I actually forgot that Google owns Youtube... Hello darkness my old friend. I'm watching JoJo... Give it to me straight, doc - Is it worth getting into that series if I know nothing about it? Can you just jump in head first? Lucilyn September 25, 2016 September 25, 2016 Every bad update to ever happen to youtube was after google bought it. I mean, Google+? by far the best thing to ever happen to it.. /s (look I pulled a jean-luc!) Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! Guest September 25, 2016 September 25, 2016 Man, super glad I decided not to take advantage of the upgrade when that was still going on. I'm still on 8.1 which isn't like, fantastic or anything, but at least it runs. I'm loathe to the day when game devs and the people who manage a lot of the software I use actually drop support for 7 and 8. I know it's a long way away, but it'll happen, and then I might actually consider just never playing video games again and going Linux. Also, Solune, JoJo is pretty cool. I'm a big fan of everything through part-three, and actually own the part-two manga in hardback, it's pretty rad. I think it's pretty accessible to anyone, regardless of how much you know about it. It really boils down to manliness, punching, and snark, for as much as I've seen and read. I'd even go as far as to say you could just cut out all dialogue and still enjoy it, if you enjoy two out of three of those things. If you're not interested enough to watch the entire first season right off the bat, there's a condensed movie-thing that's pretty alright, and gets the general idea across (Although it's definitely worth watching it all). Basically like what they did with Gurren Lagann's 'Childhood's End', and 'The Lights in the Sky are Stars'. EDIT: Cause screw making a new post So my roommate had to get rid of a bunch of music stuff cause he wanted a new car and he sold the mic he was letting me use Then he remembered he had ANOTHER mic I could use, and oh baby, we're talking the classic Shure SM7b, dynamic as opposed to the condenser NT1-A. Also worth $400, as opposed to the Rode being $250, and you can hear it. Cool shit Fucking love audio equipment, man. I don't even like, do anything with it, it's just so cool to mess with. Will hopefully be able to buy this one off of him, or pick up a new one entirely sometime in the next couple months, I'm set on it.
Punch September 25, 2016 September 25, 2016 I currently have a Surface Pro 3, which is Microsoft-branded hardware, and the Windows 10 Anniversary Update has basically killed my battery life and made it so my wifi becomes unusably slow randomly, along with a host of minor annoyances. You'd think that Microsoft Rootkit 10 would work better on hardware they designed to run it, but you'd be wrong. I could install Linux on it, but it's supposedly a pretty painful experience to get everything mostly working. It's sad, but I miss my Chromebook a little more every day. Not that Google is less evil than Microsoft, but at least it worked consistently and I could run Linux on it. I want to be ignored Don't want a speaking part I don't want any one to notice The blood spilling out of my exploding heart
Kiahdaj September 26, 2016 September 26, 2016 Linux is trivial to get "working", out of the box, with most distributions. It consists of basically clicking "next" several times, and it will work just fine for the average person's use. The real problem is of course the lack of support for many programs you may use, or want to use. Just don't use something like Arch or Gentoo, if you don't want to get your hands dirty. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
