Oh. I just saw audio imposition from a tulpa, and since we're not really into ASMR, Dimitrov felt like contributing a bit, so he just imposed some white noise for a bit, which made me want to post that.

He says "Master, this is the sound of the universe! This is how it feels like for a star to be born. Yes, sir, dwell into the galaxy." But he only says that to be poetic. White noise helps us focus.

Pfffft, hehee! Dimitrov is a fun fellow to be around, it seems. It made me laugh, what he said.

White noise does the exact opposite for us. I get so lost in the uneding buzzing, our thoughts start to scatter around to the point of no return. Heh.

But, if tulpas can impose white noise, than perhaps they can also impose crinkly noises and such. The real question is if the host would get tingles from that. It's worth a try.

Reisen: I listened to some ASMR videos last night (like two hours of them... AKA like seven), but we didn't really find any that were very "triggering" for tingles. Lumi doesn't really know what his triggers are specifically or if he has any, so unfortunately I can't really compare to see if they're different. But the ones I liked the most were ones that felt in-your-ear, like cotton swabs or blowing air. I think in like a half hour Heather Feather video where she did lots of different things the only one that gave me tingles was one of the cotton swabs, and none of the other videos I watched really did. BUT, that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy them, not at all. I really liked the feeling of closeness in most of them, and the things that the comments of people said gave them tingles just made me happy. Like when they blow in the mic and you actually feel air and heat on your ear, my reaction was sort of like being tickled, meaning reflexive shoulder shrugging and smiling. But a ton of people don't experience ASMR and still watch the videos for stuff like that, right?

Well, anyways, it was still an enjoyable experience. I think I watched two videos by Heather Feather, one with whispering and stuff, and another with random objects on the mic. I watched bits and pieces of a bunch of other ones and they were all pretty nice, because everyone in those videos is so happy and positive. And I watched a couple massage videos which were awesome since I'm very empathetic, plus I think I know how to give massages now. Overall I only got tingles shortly from literally feeling like there was very loud cotton in my ear, but all of them were a really nice experience. I think whereas those videos calm other people, they just made me really happy. Buuut, I don't think that's ASMR. It's just good feelings from being shown kindness or physical closeness from another person.

If the experiment was to see if I was more prone to ASMR than my host, I don't think I am. But I was more prone to.. happiness I guess? It's still a plus to me.

Edit: Wait, I saw something else on the subreddit last night called frisson. I think that's like getting shivers from music. I get that, as in I just got it from listening to a T. Stebbins song, the guy Lucilyn loves so much. It's not ASMR because I've felt that and it's different, but it is something. You get like shivers down your spine and it's a pleasant feeling. Lumi can get that too, but I think I'm definitely more sensitive to it. It usually only happens to him when he finds a song that feels very strongly like it relates to us, like

, which is also sung by Travis Stebbins. Okay, that video deserves its own off topic thing real quick - it's totally crazy amazing for us. Lucilyn was the first to hear it while listening to a Touhou Eurobeat album, and when she heard the chorus she got shivers for like the rest of the song. She loves Travis in like anything he does, and this song is amazing, but she was also super excited because she knew how much this song would mean to Lumi and I. Of course she's also the definition of excitable, all that stuff together was really too much for her. It didn't affect Lumi as strongly later on (much to her disappointment), but that didn't mean it wasn't instantly his new favorite song. That means it's tied with the Edge remix that's sort of ~all of ours, because he'd never put one of "our" songs over another. But.. I can tell it means a lot to him.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Hey, that was Reisen, not Lumi.

So I'm still processing this myself, but I think we just realized that I'm actually more sensitive to stuff than Reisen is. I got goosebumps watching

for my profile(specifically at 5:00, where I realized the spellcard name and pattern were referencing a nursery rhyme we knew), and seeing that bolded, large-font post Melian made in the autonomy thread made me really happy. It's not that Reisen isn't super empathetic, but I think she just kind of.. handles it better? Like, she feels how someone feels, and then meets their feelings with understanding and happiness or something. But I feel-feel them. When I see someone all happy like that, I can't help but be happy too.

So, basically, if I make it to when we go to sleep today, I'll try some ASMR stuff. I dunno if I really want to front two days in a row though, so it'll probably be Lumi posting, not me. He has my permission to speak for me/you guys can rest assured what he says is what I would've said. I just don't want to be in control for so long.

Hi. I'm one of Luminesce's tulpas. Unlike the others, I don't think I stand out too much from him personality wise.

I'm just special because "I'm a tulpa". So I don't think I've much to offer, here. I'm happy enough to just be with him.

*facepalm* Gosh, I'm sorry, I mixed up your user names. Thank you for your report, Reisen.

I'm looking forward to read what you'll experience Flandre.

Sorry, neither of them ended up being the ones fronting today. Gotta take it from me.

To start I should note that Lumi himself isn't super sensitive to ASMR. He's not unable to experience it, but effects are usually minor or brief at best, the rest just calming. So both Reisen's and Flandre's lack of reactiveness were par for the course. To put it briefly, two different tulpas of a single host experienced ASMR while switched with their host similarly to how the host experiences it.

The other effects were more interesting, in my opinion. While all three of them can experience minor "tingles" from ASMR videos, they all reacted mentally and emotionally somewhat differently. Lumi is, comparatively, more detached. For the sake of actual ASMR he experiences sounds and closeness about the same. But for the relaxation/calming aspect, he's less likely to feel emotionally close to the person making the video. Flandre wasn't too dissimilar, though she had been upset less than a few hours before. Still, she was more receptive to a feeling of closeness. Moreso than either of them however, Reisen was much more likely to enjoy the intimacy of having someone close and caring for her. Her mood was definitely elevated more than the others', and I'd honestly say she got more out of it than anyone would from just their 'autonomous sensory meridian response'. While ASMR is closely associated with the actual tingling effect, it seems its true primary goal is to relax and lighten the mood of those who experience it, hence so many people watching ASMR videos without actually experiencing the tingles.

So, in the aspect of mood elevation through perceived closeness and intimate sounds, the experiencer's mindset and receptiveness do seem to change between host and tulpas, should they be different. The "tingles" stayed about the same, but the other effects were more pronounced in Reisen and Flandre, as they were more capable of accepting the feeling of closeness and kindness, and not just the physical sensations (Sounds close to the ear have the largest effect on us).

I feel like noting that, seeing as the "tingles" and "low-grade euphoria" didn't correlate between them, there seems to be a disconnect between the physical sensation and emotional effect. That is, the two are not necessarily connected to each other, or at least can be experienced at different levels simultaneously. That could be important to those that don't experience the tingling sensation and feel like they're missing out. Then again, it already seems rather apparent not everybody relies on the sensation itself to enjoy ASMR videos, so maybe it's already well-known. We aren't exactly part of any ASMR communities.

Hi, I'm Tewi, one of Luminesce's tulpas. I often switch to take care of things for the others.

All I want is a simple, peaceful life. With my family.

I see. Personality seems to be an important aspect at this, then.

..Which is what you promptly tell about here.
