That's sort of similar. I had taken a class on deaf culture, which was about how deaf people see themselves as a distinct culture with its own language and customs, rather than a disability. A deaf child for them will be someone who they have more in common with and who will be much more involved in their community than someone who's hearing. The reasons for making flaws in a tulpa are to make the tulpa more relatable as a person, and be more real to the maker as a result. So again, kind of similar.

But in tulpaforcing, should the tulpa be so perfect that the maker cannot relate to them, they have nowhere else to turn- no other culture to be a part of. They have to be familiar on some level.

Personally, I don't think that people should specifically put in flaws when designing their tulpa's personality. As with every human, flaws arise from their personality regardless. For example, "persistent" might become "stubborn", or "open" might become "gullible". Things like that.

I personally believe its not a good thing at all to be putting flaws into Tulpas.. why? cause no one here knows the full impacts of what that could do to ourselves and Tulpas are a part of ourselves and subconsciousness. So it seems to me that when one puts a flaw into ones Tulpa you are actually could be putting that flaw into yourself too.

What happens to if you have gone and placed flaws into your Tulpa so you can relate to it better cause its where you are at now but you self grow over the years, suddenly your Tulpa may be very immature for you as you have become much older and wiser? What may of seemed a good thing at the time may become a very annoying thing. Flaws you put into your tulpa may not change and could even become worst.

Are the tupla you are making now (if you plan to keep it), are you going to be still relating to it when you are 50-70 years old?

Tulpas have their own flaws anyway.. due to things you carry inside your subconciousness impacting them. Is there such a thing as a perfect Tulpa?? (unless someone was perfect themselves). Also so many traits themselves have both postive things and negative things.

eg "laid back"... become careless or even a little lazy.. "Easygoing" may become too easy going and careless. "motivated" may end up being a Tulpa who is like a workaholic who may end up trying to be overly helpful and always in your face due to this or lecturing you. "cautious" may end up with a tupla who worries about everything and is neurotic. "energetic" .. Tupla could have unlimited energy to the point that its ended up talking constantly and is wearing you out.

I noticed when I carefully choose Jesse's personality aspects that at least half the good personality traits had possible negative things they could create as well.

You shouldnt need to be putting in negative traits and if anything it could do harm as now you will be carrying that aspect within yourself more, subtly influencing you, whether you are aware of it or not.

Wouldn't the tulpa age with the host? I guess that only kerin could answer this. Then again, some people have had tulpas for a year or longer, and even that long could provide some insight into this.

Maybe give glitchthe3rd a buzz on that. If memory serves, he's had tulpas for around ten years.

Flaws, no matter what, will come out if you allow your tulpa free will. Kind of pointless and downright opressive to say "this is what's going to be wrong with you". Hell, anything involving the tulpa's personality layout should be completely up to them, only with suggestions from the host.
