Dr. Richtofen June 29, 2012 June 29, 2012 Hi. I am new here. Whats up? Anyway, I am roughly 7 hours into tulpaforcing (maybe more. I tend to do it a lot just while walking around or lounging around, not just in my pre-designated times/places) and I feel like I am running out of things to narrate (I feel like I am being over-repetative at this point). I had an idea. I used to write a lot of stories in my past, and most of them are still firmly imprinted into my mind, so would reciting these storys, end to end, be a good or bad form of narration? Note: I already did this (recited a story) for an hour today, So I thought I would ask.
Dr. Richtofen June 29, 2012 Author June 29, 2012 I've narrated music and TV before (not sure if its good, but it helped keep my focus on both her AND the music/TV I was watching) But I find its still easy to lose focus in those activities. The stories I have been telling are 100% from my mind. The characters, the plotlines, the details, everything. It felt easier to concentrate while I was in a sensory-depriving area, deep focus on the presence around me, and telling a story already born and fledged out in my own mind. Its easier to take in and recite every detail than it was for movies/TV/Music, like I could take my time and make every detail as clear as day in my head and in my words. Personally, its harder for me to narrate when I can...well... SEE! I can Visualize almost anywhere, but with narration, for now, I feel like I need to be secluded from all my physical senses. (I still do it though. Full focus or not, I still narrate whenever I can) My "troubles" are probably understandable. I am still just starting. Note: "Troubles" isn't really a correct term, so I am using it incredibly loosely.
