so if I imposed my tulpa and then I told my tulpa to disappear, and then I told my tulpa to come back, would my tulpa come back fully imposed or what? Im sorta confused about this because I heard imposing a tulpa is like taking a chunk out of your vision and wouldnt it be difficult to put that part of your vision back and out again?

Whatever one would do to be able to refer back to their imagination to conjure up a projection of their tulpa at their beck and call, I would imagine that simply re-arranging how one conceptualizes their own subjective experience just like that may take some effort than a few analogies on what imposition may be to them.

Or in other words, yeah, it would be confusing and of consternation in some way, if the "taking part of your vision back and out like a regurgitated process" was the sole contingent factor in conceptualizing imposition in general. I'm not even sure if you have to take a chunk of your qualia without questioning if doing so would alter something in this spatiotemporal reality. I'm not even sure our minds would have to go through such a implicit and dichotomous process just for the sake of comprehending how one would impose in the near future.

Your guess is good as mine, my friend.

Edwin imposes in and out fairly regularly, but we're not at the point of me being able to "physically" see him yet. I would think that once the mind is trained to that it would gradually get more concrete and reliable with practice. So my guess is that at first it may take some time for the tulpa to fully re-impose directly after retreating to the host's mind. That amount of time may get to be less and less the more often a host does it.

But I really wouldn't suggest making the tulpa randomly appear and disappear like that. It's like wearing on a car's engine by constantly having to stop at red lights and start again. I imagine that would be kind of jerky and uncomfortable for the tulpa.
