Brassow November 23, 2015 November 23, 2015 Oh boy. Time to give an opinion. If they literally thrive off your attention, but do so maliciously, just ignore them. That isn't murder is it? Simply not listening to their malice? I don't think it's murder IF the tulpa is actively attempting to affect you negatively (think that old creepypasta). Luminesce November 23, 2015 November 23, 2015 They're just thoughts. If you have to "kill" a tulpa you created for any reason other than maintaining their existence is negatively impacting your life (ie "They're malicious" / "Didn't go right" / etc.), I just consider you weak-minded. You don't have enough awareness and control of your mind to effectively utilize this phenomenon without risk. Ignorance is pretty dangerous when dealing with imaginary things, because you may think they're real and forget you have power over them. So uh, I dunno. If you've got a "good" reason, sure. If not, sure, but you're stupid. :P Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Technically you would still let them starve, so you could argue that this is also killing, atleast on the long road. If said tulpa doesn't change its behavings it is just how it is. It would lose its right to live because of its malicious behavior. Tulpa: Alice Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation She may or may not talk here, depends on her.
Brassow November 23, 2015 November 23, 2015 So that brings in the question: if the tulpa's food source is to grab your attention, but they do so in a negative way, which is more important: the young and boisterous tulpa's existence, or the physical host's day to day life and possibly sanity? In my opinion I would lean to the host, because the host has the ability to create more life, and if the malicious tulpa (we really should get a nickname for this) can drag a host down so far as to negatively impact both themselves and the host. Guest Anonymous November 23, 2015 November 23, 2015 The tulpa's food source? That makes tulpas seem like some sort of parasites or even some sort of vampire like creatures. LOL Melian, the vampire entity!

Before a person starts resorting to dissipating the tulpa, shouldn't the host attempt to fix the tulpa's negative behaviors? I've seen some tulpas that were affecting their hosts negatively become better after putting in some time with them, so it's not impossible. I think a host should try to put some effort on doing this before they conclude that killing their tulpa is the only way for a healthy mind. I have 10 tulpas, but I'm only actively working on Reah, my first tulpa currently. Progress Report
Guest Anonymous November 23, 2015 November 23, 2015 The host could visualize the tulpa getting a good old fashioned spanking. It may be a little bit of kinky fun too in the process. Melian: Try it buster!

I don't think a single tulamancer has resorted to that. I certainly wouldn't. Also Raetin, you're probably right in that regard, people should try to change them. But what if that doesn't work? I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but what if that's the case? "Try to get a better understanding of things before making your judgement." -Khan, Metro 2033

That's something entirely different then. The first thing to do would be doing everything in your power to ignore such a horrible being. And if that doesn't work, then yes, there would be cases where I'd say that being has to die to save yourself. There ARE points where a living being can trade off its right to live by trying to destroy the life of another. Simple as that. Though I can't even follow the thought process of such a person. But I think I agree. Greets, AG & Rina That. Greets, AG
