[02:32] <+tulpacouple> Yeah, Luke said he found places in Nate's mind where characters were enclosed

[02:32] <+tulpacouple> to allow them freedom while keeping them from coming out as full tulpae

[02:33] <+tulpacouple> sort of like locked in wonderlands where his 'stories' live

[02:33] <+FigN01> it's like a petting zoo!

[02:33] <+Sock> My girls say that my characters just wander wherever.

[02:33] <+Semi-Nomadic> awwwwwww

[02:33] <+Sock> And that they've run into them from time to time, as well as story locations.

So, apparently your tulpa can run into your imaginary characters and places, even if you never bothered to tulpify them up. Has your tulpa had any experiences with that?

I know TOG had a lot of servitors. Similar, although not the same.

I've made a few shifty blokes in my mind, I hope my tulpa doesn't run into them.

Tulpae:

Name: Frostia

Form: Light and dark blue pony, white hair, styled in MLP:FiM fashion

I occasionally have a faceless man appearing and staring at my tulpa. I dont care about him.

Also in one of my previous threads I talk about 'reserve puppets'; I have a puppet (imaginary friend) as a small companion for my tulpa to play with. Its called a reserve puppet as i may actually turn him into a tulpa in the future if silverspeed likes him.

I also have lots of imaginary toys and lots of characters that i control in the wonderland (i barely use them though because it stops me focusing on her). Silverspeed is the only thing in my mind i have no control over. She speaks and moves for herself now

Name - Silver

Form - Harpy

Sentience - fully sentient

Personality - Playful, cheerful, enthusiastic, chilled

Smell - Baileys

Stage - Narration and imposition

This is why I was careful to destroy or unbind all my servitors before starting with tulpaforcing. I figured something like this might happen, with servitors gaining sentience out of the blue and becoming tulpas on their own.

My progress report

I can say that Nate's characters weren't gaining sentience out of the blue. Nate used to imagine talking to them as a child and has had them around, puppeting them for years and years and years until he eventually 'watched' his stories write themselves. Similar to how artists say a character would 'draw herself' or other such things.

They definitely are different than tulpae. Obviously just characters. They could become tulpae very quickly though, but they wouldn't like it.

Honestly I only have one character who could possibly be running around my mind as she is the only one I put years and years of effort into and the only one who I fully understand inside and out. I never put in quite the effort into other characters.

Also, the good news is that despite the fact that 80% of the characters in Nate's mind are villains, they see themselves as actors and even if they like being little punks, aren't planning anything nasty. They enjoy getting to blow junk up in their own worlds.

... Well, whatever the case, I still maintain that 1-3 tulpae is an ideal number, more than that and you're cheapening the experience for everyone involved. Just my two cents on the whole "how many tulpas is too many" argument.

My progress report

It would also imply, that you don't consciously create your Tulpa, but rather pull it from that place and give it the opportunity to gain sentience. The thought of a populated mind is a bit unsettling, though.

I'm currently testing a method, which is exploiting this "realm". And so far, we've had good results.

So if you daydream about people enough, they will become a character in your mind?

My opinions are all subject to change.

There's a bunch of characters in there related to my dreams, but they're confined to their own worlds.

Tulpa's making her own worlds in there, with their own characters; Those're usually amalgams of random memories and ideas, though.
