My parents are so fucking close to finding out about tulpae and this site.

Today, my brother said, "I read that tulpa shit. What the hell is that?"

I just stared at him for like 30 seconds, then I looked away and stared at a wall for ten minutes. My parents Can Not find out about them. Especially Shin, oh Christ.

>Shin's reaction to all this

Just pretend that you have little to no idea what they're talking about. It's working fine for me.

Or if they bring it up you could just tell them you're studying the idea because you think it's interesting, not because you're making one personally. You could always reinforce this by telling them you wouldn't risk losing your sanity over something so stupid if they don't believe you, after that you should pretty much be home free from any suspicion.

I haven't started making my Tulpa yet but when I do, I won't tell a soul outside of this site. This is the kind of secret that could ruin you in more ways than just the opinions of your friends and family, if the wrong people were to find out.. Not to mention my parents are too narrow minded for this sort of thing, and would probably think I was summoning a demon or something stupid like that, haha. xD

I've been doing this for three weeks and so far I've told one of my brothers, my sister (whom I live with), a close friend, my mother, and the previous pastor of my church. So far the waters have been gentle. Though they are concerned about Tulpas being demonic in nature, which is oddly enough the concern that got me to tell them about it.

Start Date: November 5, 2012

Humanoid Construct: Claire [MIA]

Stage: Not practicing anymore.

Praise the Lord for the gift he has given me.

My dad and probably my stepmom know now, surprisingly enough they seem accepting of it, if still somewhat ignorant on the subject.

My progress report

am considering telling a close family member. but the idea of telling him that the person he been hanging out with recently isn't exactly the same person he knew for the past 20 years does not sit well with me.

What? Telling the religious nutjobs i hang around? That's absolutely crazy! I tried talking about Buddhism at school once and some kid came up behind me and hit me with a bible. Although i do not keep my tulpa a secret.

You know, I could just put a quote here. But I won't, so here is a thing about my tulpa.

Name:Linnith

Form: female pony

Stage: Narration

Time spent: 2 and a half hours

My family jokes about me being the crazy one of the bunch. One point they even joked about me talking to the voices in my head.

It's sad because they are actually right.

Where's the "I've told everyone BUT close friends/family" option?

The first step in creating a tulpa is believing that it exists.

I told some friends about it.

It was horrible.

They're incredibly skeptical people, and not only was I forced to explain it in such earthly, dry terms that I actually felt like I was hurting her, and they were basically telling me I was losing my grip on reality and I'm too old for imaginary friends.

I think I learned my lesson.
