So, one of my tulpas, Narau, has a rather uncanny knack for knowing things I really don't know how she could know. She says that learning and knowledge is why she exists, yes, but even so, she knows things about me that are a little scary.

Once I idly wondered WHY I liked some fanfiction I kept reading, even though I disliked the lewd premise, and she gave me a detailed breakdown of exactly why I read it, and then the reasons behind those reasons that stemmed back to my childhood, all in that monotone voice of hers like she was reading an encyclopedia.

So what I'm wondering is, can a tulpa really know things about myself I don't know, to that sort of extent?

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

It's not odd that she knows things about you that you didn't think you knew. It's kind of odd she'd lay everything out like that without your asking her to, but hey, maybe that's just a part of who she is. You may not think you knew any of this, but for a Tulpa to know, you must have known, even if it was buried deep, deep in your subconscious.

Kaosukage, if you’re willing to create a thoughtform for whatever personal reasons you have, you shouldn’t be surprised on her being able to find things about you that you didn’t know she could be cognizant about. Especially if there’s implications of her sharing the confines of your mind, she would be able to devote more time in understanding what makes you, you (ontologically, psychologically, and all that).

You could say the same thing can be experienced when it comes to lucid dreaming. You may meet thought-forms/dream characters that may offer some vicarious insight about yourself, or in short, an aspect of yourself explaining something about you in a different light. I wouldn’t take those uncanny things as a means to be scared, but merely acknowledging what could really be a part of you that you weren’t able to accept.

Eva gave me a lot of mind fucks about myself (and I would actually become giddy if she finds more things to talk about in relation to that), though I would expect something like that seeing as she’s someone that would want to be brutally honest at times (and I don’t get any fair treatments with euphemism all the time with Ada either, ha-ha). As for other things like them being able to make a new twist from pre-existing knowledge, experiential learning, and all of that, I guess that’s what happens when you’re willing to go through the motions of the self-fulfilling prophecy of treating them as sentient beings.

There's a lot of inspirations that can be recognized both in dreams and interaction with your tulpa if you're suggestive to those responses. Whether or not that's your subconscious/unconscious/part of you/whatever terminology you personally subscribe to is a matter of disposition. Implicit knowledge, overall mode of cognition, and many aspects are at their disposal just like you are able to tap into as well.

Not dumb at all, some people feel tulpas can know things the host doesn't but I really, really doubt that.

For me, after idk around 10yr of testing tulpa strongly seems it knows what I know of/have been exposed to in some way. Its knowledge isn't always 100% accurate and it has its own flawed interpretations on top of my mistaken recall or what not to add on to that. Some of the knowledge is profound and accurate since it can look at the scariness of memory, symbolism and not feel as threatened or hurt since supposedly despite being part of me it isn't exactly me. If any of that makes sense.

Additionally, a lot of my tulpas seem to remember things that I don't. Quite a few times, one of my tulpas has said something like "Remember that time when you..." and then brings up something that had completely left my mind until they brought it up again. It's kind of fascinating.

Pinky is not a pony. She's an imp.

Sunray is an angel-imp. Ex is humanoid. Kael is a dragon. Magnum is a dog.

Yeah, me too. For some reason that didn't surprise me but Narau categorizing my actions did. I guess it was just a little creepier, probably how she talks.
