I'm starting to think you're the same as everyone else, just more open about your selfishness. I'd use the word socially uninhibited.

It's frowned upon to express your selfishness so openly, but as far as I can tell, you're the same as everyone else but moreso. You don't limit your selfishness as would be deemed appropriate. Otherwise, you just have a unique and maybe more honest way of doing it. Everyone interacts to fulfill themselves in some way, this forum is no exception.

That being said, there is a range considered healthy, where less expression is considered repressing yourself and leads to self-esteem issues, and more is considered egomania and leads to, well, getting butthurt when people don't care as much as you want them to.

Don't mind me, just backseat philosophizing over here.

Damnit Mistgod, I thought we agreed it didnt matter, and you werent going to talk about it anymore.

You know how some people say, "Telling me not to do something is the best way to make sure I'll do it!"?

Well, trying to stop talking about something and leaving it unsettled is the best way to get me to talk about it. Except when the problem gets too far out of the scope of what could be considered "worth dealing with" (for me, which can be quite far), I generally won't allow anything to be silenced when it could still be productive in my eyes.

"Don't talk about it! Let it die!" are my trigger words

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

I added a new poll. I got tired of waiting fer someone to make one darn it! If you are new and you haven't checked out all these polls, they are pretty fun! There is a link to my first list of polls in the OP of this thread!

This case was different, mistgod himself said he shouldnt talk about it, and I agreed with him.

But since we are already far in the deep end,

In my eyes, Melian`s ability to defy you puts her thoughts and feelings on the same level as your own.

Your mind playing a joke on itself doesn't make any sense.

Damnit Mistgod, I thought we agreed it didnt matter, and you werent going to talk about it anymore. I certainly wouldnt like being called a day dream...

I don't mind being a day dream girl jean-luc. We all have our nature. You are made of atoms, skin, bone, muscle and stuff. I am made of thoughts inside Davie's brain. Essentially I am part of his imagination personified. It is pretty neat being imaginary actually. But you are right, Davie can kiss my butt!

Melian is the same as a tulpa, but Mistgod's sense of self is not as ours. As I believe my tulpas and myself are identity "filters" applied to an overarching consciousness, most tulpamancers believe their brain may host multiple legitimate individuals, and Mistgod believes in only one. It's up to the individual to choose how they think about these types of things, although admittedly most will never realize there's any other way to do so than societal default.

Anyways, this isn't an issue of Melian being a tulpa or not. It's just how Mistgod chooses to think of such things. She qualifies as a tulpa, his beliefs just change how he thinks about said tulpa.

As was just mentioned in another thread, some people believe in summoning "spirits", or soulbonds, or whatever. And a great number of those people treat them just like tulpas. Are they not still tulpas, even if the host considers them a spirit who's tied themselves to their soul? The short answer is yes they are, and the long answer is an argument on metaphysics that we know better than to have.

I think you are beginning to know us better indeed! Uninhibited is a great word. If there were more like us the forum would either be very exciting or complete chaos.

Well, as a fellow cute-talk user, I don't have a problem with it. Pretty neutral, really. The difference in our talk is probably that I'm less likely to use it while writing/typing, and more likely to use it in real life (but then, I talk a lot less than I write. maybe it's to be expected?).

Yay!

Actually, I like your cute talk. I think it's really, um, idk? You I guess? Like it shows your type of personality? It doesn't mean you're not smart or anything. And I think it's fun too. Sometimes it makes me laugh a little (not at you in a making-fun-of-you way, just like I didn't expect you to come in and say silly words. You know what I mean?). So ya I don't think you should change it :).

As for me, uh, idk I guess I'm the same way? Idk I'm tired.

Aww, thanks! I have a secret to tell you. I wasn't gonna ever change it no matter what. Hee hee So I am happy to see most peoples do like it or at least can tolerate it.
