Guest applesauce99 July 10, 2012 July 10, 2012 What are the things that come from narration, how do you, yourself, narrate, and how important is narration? I narrate all I can, but just wanted to put his out there. Edit: when do you decide to start narrating, and how often do you narrate?

I've organized a large room without any distractions that I can lock myself into for 6 hours every Monday and Wednesday.
TulpaCouple July 10, 2012 July 10, 2012 Narration is the act of talking to your tulpa as a sentient being. It helps them gain sentience and develop further.. No narration and the tulpa might not figure out how to become more sentient, or even know that it is possible.
Guest Albatross_ July 10, 2012 July 10, 2012 Narration is what sparks sentience. You generally don't get sentience without narration. Narration gets easier the more you do it. View your tulpa as sentient and it's easy to make it second nature. Just talk about whatever comes to mind. Talk about what you're going to do that day. Explain what's going on in your life. Express your feelings. Some people like to narrate anime plots or books, but I feel those are rather impersonal. Do whatever feels right to you. Narration is important if you want a sapient, vocal tulpa.
Captain Nemo July 10, 2012 July 10, 2012 Narration is the single most important of tulpa creation, as said by a few tulpa in the survey. I believe them. I've talked to my tulpa as if she were complete and could fully understand me from day one. As for what I say, I just chat with her like a regular person about whatever. Sometimes I'll just complain to her if I'm in an unpleasant situation, but then realizing I'm talking to her makes me feel better. :3 I had to pull weeds for 7 hours a few days ago, and I just talked to her the whole time. I feel it really helped bring us much closer. Basically, narrate from the very beginning, as if your tulpa can understand you already. Narrate as often as you can. If I'm focusing on something like art/computer or whatever, I'm not talking to her. I just can't focus on her and what I'm doing at the same time. With simple tasks it's easy to talk to her at the same time, though.
