fennecfoxx November 2, 2012 November 2, 2012 Theoretically, if a host only narrated to their tulpa in a foreign language and never spoke to the tulpa in their native language, would the tulpa instinctively know the host's native language after becoming vocal, or would he/she only understand the language that the host narrated in? I know it's an odd question, but I'm honestly curious about this. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past
Sands November 2, 2012 November 2, 2012 English ain't my native language and I didn't use English for the creation process. Roswell can speak in English just fine. These days we kinda talk in either one. Funnily enough, he does lack the dialect I use when talking in my native language, he uses this weird formal/standard style that no one actually uses for talking. Unless he has to pretend to be me, then he sort of has to use it, but he does have his slips. Kinda the other way around but still, two languages and one was used for narrating. The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)
Asgardian November 2, 2012 November 2, 2012 Well, as a huge linguistics nerd was I a bit baffled that Reana really understands all of it, even though the narration was pretty much german-only with some sayings and foreign sentences mixed into it. Her french is even better than mine (mostly because she likes the language a lot), and all of her talk is also pretty flawless and accent-free, making me a bit jealous actually. "Sorry for that, my communication implants are idiologically biased."
ShroomOfDoom November 2, 2012 November 2, 2012 Although english isn't my native language,i find myself often thinking to myself in english. Probably because of the past few years of prolonged exposure to the english language (games, videos, forums etc.). Narrating to Eve in english kinda feels more natural to me than using my native language. Tulpae: Eve & Aria Gender: Female/Female Form: Human/Elin Birthday: 24.10.2012/26.11.2012 Age: 68 Days/35 Days Stage: Imposition on hold
Firedon November 3, 2012 November 3, 2012 I think the only times I narrate in German are when I really want to describe something in detail, but otherwise I always speak in English, even though it isn't my native language
intelhunter November 7, 2012 November 7, 2012 we narrate in english sometimes, because i kinda started learning english in kindergarten. You can safely say that i speak it fluently. We speak norwegian now tho. Ayo grill how you be?
