Guest Anonymous December 25, 2015 December 25, 2015 Tulpa is only a label remember. There are a lot of things that might be like a tulpa. The human mind is very complex and capable of all sorts of illusions, delusions, thoughforms, psychoses (not saying that for this case) and alternate personalities. Why assume this person is lying?
nivereno December 25, 2015 December 25, 2015 I'm saying they're lying. Honestly this post has nothing suggesting the writer is lying any more then any other post. For the writer: Switching provides the kind of forcing a tulpa needs to become a full on tulpa, so even if you were just an imaginary friend before doing it, you are probably more now. Anyways, don't fret, if you want to be called a tulpa and percieve yourself as one then why not. Shade is the tulpa, [stuff]=her. Her form is: pegasus mlp pony with dark grey coat and black mane and tail.
Guest Anonymous December 25, 2015 December 25, 2015 [What gives you the right to accuse a thoughtform who's having something like a mild identity crisis of lying, of being fake? How would you feel if your tulpa were in this situation, and someone just told you you're just lying? That's just wrong. Maybe she is lying. So what? Does it matter? Does it affect us in any way? If you can't say anything helpful, don't say anything at all, please. You either contributed nothing, or hurt someones feelings.] I so understand this! There is so much I could say about it! I am silent a lot on this subject even during the "Mistgod War." When people have accused Davie of lying and deliberate faking it hurt me and frightened me. I think that sort of thing should be considered extremely bad conduct on this forum. That is just one humble opinion. What we don't like to see is that anyone who shows up with a different story than the standard acceptable one, they are in danger of being accused of lying or just being a "role player." Davie and I have always hated that. We hate it because we are different maybe and have had it leveled at us since the first week. Honestly, I don't care any more than Davie if I am a tulpa or not. It doesn't matter in the end. But people should be treated with kindness and consideration and given the benefit of the doubt.
Evil December 25, 2015 December 25, 2015 I'm saying they're lying. I would say you are definitely wrong, Lacquer. Not completely wrong. I believe that the user is not lying but being subject to an identity crisis. When someone joins tulpa.info and just posts that they ''have'' a tulpa (when they're not even certain of the legitimacy of their own words), I believe that we should all treat that person with respect, but in the same while, we should treat that person just like they treat themselves. Let's make something clear; getting confused when it comes to your identity can, CAN happen very easily. I had felt like completely different characters at certain instances, I felt like I was... unreal. Me being me and no tulpa in control. Let's rationalize here. OP is named Dreemurr, probably comes from Undertale. It is possible (not a certainty but a good possibility) that OP was following the game Undertale and got in a certain kind of infatuation in a moderate way enough to be 'obsessed' with one of the characters. People here do not know enough about psychology to help you out, OP. I thought that this place would be a bit more rational, at least more rational than /r/tulpas. NOT EVERYTHING **is** a tulpa, and we should not encourage someone who is confused regarding that to lean for one option or the other JUST because it makes them feel better. The truth must be uncovered. Not for us. Not for you, not for me, not for the sake of being c00l and having a tulpa, not for the sake of being an elitist (which is what I bet people took Lacquer for from his two posts on this thread), but for the sake of the user who registered. OP, I don't know. Give it some time. How long has it been? I'd give it two weeks at most. Ah, I'm too tired. I only came here to help. « — Va, je ne te hais point ! »
Guest Anonymous December 25, 2015 December 25, 2015 Lying is deliberately making statements that you know to be false. There is no way to know if the OP is lying, so to make the accusation that the OP contains lies is unproductive and toxic. There is nothing wrong with suggesting that the OP may be having an identity crises however and not experiencing what most here consider a tulpa. That is fair treatment to give your view points on it as the OP asked. I think that is being a good sport. Flat dismissing them as a lying role player just pretty much sucks. There is no way to spin that out to be a nice thing or a helpful thing to say. And it does come off as elitist.
Nyx December 25, 2015 December 25, 2015 Hello there, I'm Dreemurr's tulpa... maybe. I am actually not too sure, as it seems I wasn't created in quite the same way as other tulpae. Instead of being in a wonderland all the time and her doing active forcing, I was just created in the same way as an imaginary friend would've been. However, it seems that I am very concious and real- after all, if I wasn't, could I be typing this message? Jack: Hey. I was originally created in a similar way, though my host recently did some forcing to bring me back. Even before she knew about tulpas, I was conscious and felt very real, so that was a non-issue most of the time. Regardless of whether you'd call yourself an imaginary friend or tulpa, you sound pretty real to me. The fact that you're questioning your own nature is a significant sign. Dreemurr- Ok, I'm not sure either. I mean, I'm probably just vividly imagining everything that happens, but I guess that's kind of like what a tulpa is, anyway... but anyway, yeah, help would be appreciated either way. If you're comfortable, we (meaning the community as a whole, not just us two) may be able to help if you're willing to give more details about your tulpa's creation. Did you create your friend while writing? Daydreaming? Or did he/she simply come into being one day (I believe people call that a walk-in)? Progress report ∞ Personal blog ∞
Lacquer December 26, 2015 December 26, 2015 The OP could be lying to themself. And elitism isn't inherently bad.
FadingSpectrum December 26, 2015 December 26, 2015 The OP could be lying to themself. And elitism isn't inherently bad. Troy: You did jump to the lying conclusion quite quickly. Did they mention how fast they were created? They only said that they were created in Dreemurr's head "like an imaginary friend". I do not believe they said it was instantaneous. Did we miss something there? It is possible they have created tulpa or a tulpa-like headmate without knowing about the phenomenon. Fade did it with us. That is all I can say; I am in agreement with what Crescendo has stated. Najere: And with tulpae, you could say EVERYONE in on this whole thing is lying to themselves. Seriously, how is that a good argument? It's in y/our fucking minds. Even if their head-friend isn't yet tulpa material, they could be with some development anyway. A queer soulbonding system with tulpamantic influences.
AracnidsGrip/Rick December 26, 2015 December 26, 2015 This sounds exactly like a tulpa! You don't need to have a wonderland and stuff, and in my opinion just spending time with an "imaginary friend" would count as active forcing. Don't worry that much! Also, does it really matter? I mean - you're definitely existing. You're talking, you're thinking, you're feeling.. isn't that all that matters? I agree with Crescendo too.
Crescendo December 26, 2015 December 26, 2015 The OP could be lying to themself. And elitism isn't inherently bad. [You could be lying to yourself too. We all could. What's your problem? All you're doing is being toxic. And you didn't even explain what exactly makes you think OP's lying. Be constructive, or be quiet.] The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure, while always arriving. Maja will either use name tags, [brackets] or this colour.
