Tulpae, how do you feel when trespassed by physical objects/people?

Thanks! Actually the things you guys were saying about how we react to illusions in these experiments really underlines what I just said. All that matters is how your brain and mind interprets everything. What is real? Much of what we experience in our perception we take as real, regardless of the actual truth of it. We react to it as we perceive it and regard it and we often experience what we expect to.

 

If I think of Melian as a real person, and I expect her to act like a real person, then I perceive her as such. She is a person.

I don't care. It seems a bit frivolous when Lumi holds doors open for us, but he just feels like he's being rude otherwise. I have no problem walking through it or teleporting or whatever.

 

Also, the "annoyance at being sat on" was just annoyance at trying to find a place to sit that wasn't too far away, not because someone "invaded my space". That's why we ended up sitting in floating chairs over the real ones..

Olive: Haha! Has learned that suffer no ill consequences of passing through solid objects. Projection of self is like a hologram! Little to no ability to feel stuff unless specifically trying to. Have been having fun running through doors and walls and scaring heebiejeebies out of Fade-Kun!

My tulpa does not particularly feel anything since they do not really view the imposition as "them", just a sort of manifestation on my (visual) dimension. Granted, they did make a cool effect for when something would pass through them where they just quickly blink out then in of sight with a pleasant particle effect.

With Elizabeth, its like she flickers and reappears a few inches out of the way. She says she doesn't notice but I think she doesn't like it, like its draining or something, but she won't tell me outright how she feels.

 

Now, Shaide on the other hand, only imposes into or through shadows and seems to have a sixth sense about people, dissipating or dodging them effortlessly. Cats seem to see him sometimes and I've even seen him pet them, so I'm still not sure what Shaide is.

Honestly I just get annoyed by it. When somebody passes through me I sorta *poof* and then reappear again. But yeah. Annoying. Especially when I’m sitting down next to my host and then somebody steals my spot.

i wouldn't say we're fully imposed, but I'm pretty sure it's no problem.

It doesn't feel like anything to us, we consistently place ourselves through the objects anyway, like standing where a desk is. Makes it easier than going out of your way to avoid it
